- Still8 will be cooperating with Riot in their ongoing investigation into Kanavi’s situation.
- Griffin’s Director Cho Kyu-nam has officially resigned from his position.
- The team will look to rebuild, starting with its foundation.
Below is a translation of the statement by Still8.
Hello, this is Still8’s CEO Seo Kyung-jong. I would first of all like to apologize to all the Esports fans that were greatly disappointed by the recent events that have transpired.
Still8 felt greatly responsible for this and looked to resolve this by looking for the best possible solution.
Griffin’s Director Cho Kyu-nam has taken responsibility for this current situation and has officially resigned from his position.
At the same time, Riot is currently investigating the related issues with Seo “Kanavi” Jin-hyeok, and Still8 is cooperating with them with due diligence.
Finally, we are looking to learn from this event and rebuild, starting with the foundation of the team.
We want to make sure nothing like this ever happens again and take into heart all the criticisms that have been sent towards us, to reflect back on and improve. This is a necessary step to take in order to make it happen.
Once again, as CEO of Griffin, I’m deeply sorry to have caused such a great disappointment.
