On the 26th of November KST, T1 announced Kim “Roach” Kang-hui as their new top laner.
T1 has been at a search of a top laner after their existing top laner, Kim “Khan” Dong-ha, announced Free Agency at the beginning of 2019-2020 offseason. They have now opted to sign Roach, former Gen.G top laner who have entered free agency early on.
They have also announced that they will be promoting the existing trainees, Kim “Canna” Chang-dong, Choi “Ellim” El-lim, Lee “Gumayushi” Min-hyung, and Choi “Kuri” Won-yeong to the main LCK roster, completing their ten-man roster for next season.
We’re excited to announce that Kim “Canna” Chang-dong, Choi “Ellim” Ellim, Lee “Gumayushi” Min-hyung, and Choi “Kuri” Won-yeong are called up to join the roster, along with Kim "Roach" Kang-hui who is joining the team this year.

Canna is a top laner, well known for his Solo Q performance in the ladder.
Ellim has previously been the jungler for 2018 KeG roster, consisting of former Griffin top laner Doran, LNG mid laner Plex, his current teammate Gumayusi and Pop, who made it to MSI as the support player for MEGA.
Gumaysusi will be following his brother, StarCraft II legend INnoVation’s, footsteps by also competing for T1. As a bot laner, Gumayusi has been hyped by many for his plays in Ranked, as well as the potential he showed in tournaments, beating accomplished bot laner Sangyoon in Ro12 of last year’s KeSPA Cup.
Kuri holds the most experience out of all the promoted trainees, having previously competed in Challengers Korea as support for the ES Sharks.
