On the 29th of July, DWG KIA announced that Yang “Daeny” Dae-in will be returning to the team as their new strategic analyst.

Daeny will be assisting the team’s new coaching staff, led by acclaimed head coach Kim “kkOma” Jeong-gyun, as an analyst, a distinctly new role to the one he previously held.

Daeny has previously been part of the World Champions roster of the 2020 season, leading the team alongside Lee “Zefa” Jae-min to the organization first major domestic and international titles.

In the 2021 season, both Daeny and Zefa joined T1, with whom they saw middling results, finishing 4th in Spring Split. After a slow start in Summer, followed by inconsistent results, both coaches were dismissed from their position, parting ways in the middle of the season.

DWG KIA’s next match will take place today, up against the Afreeca Freecs who will be vying for a spot at the top of the standings in order to secure playoffs.
