After his transfer to LEC and Misfits Gaming was announced, Kang “GorillA” Beom-hyeon came on Twitter to share his thoughts. Earlier the day Misfits formalized the deal with GorillA, finalizing the starting roster of Soaz, Maxlore, Febiven, Hans Sama and GorillA.
In the statement to his fans, GorillA said:
“Hello, this is Kang “GorillA” Bum-hyeon. I debuted for Najin Shield when I was 20 years old [Korean age]. From Najin to ROX to Kingzone, I have spent 5-6 years in LCK and now I finally head to Misfits, a LEC team.
The hardest part was [me being torn between] the thought that if I don’t experience the international league now, I’d never have the chance again, and the thought that if I left LCK now I would never be able to come back to it.
After a lot of considerations, I had decided to head to Misfits Gaming of LEC. I’ll put in an effort so anyone in the world would be able to say – ‘you’ve worked hard.'”

Many fans came to congratulate GorillA and wish the ex-LCK player best of luck, including Han “Peanut” Wang-ho, GorillA’s former teammate for ROX Tigers and Kingzone DragonX. Peanut replied “You worked hard – I’ll see you next time”, further fueling the rumors that Peanut is also considering moving to LEC or LCS.
