Former StarCraft professional player FanTaSy joins Sandbox Gaming as coach

Sandbox Gaming announced on the 20th of November the signing of Jung “Fantasy” Myung Hoon as their new coach.

FanTaSy is a professional player from StarCraft, acclaimed for his mastery with Mech Terran. Known for his creative plays, he had recently announced his retirement from StarCraft II, choosing instead to pursue coaching in the LCK.

Sandbox Gaming also clarified what Fantasy’s role will be within the team. With his multiple years of experience as a professional player, Sandbox explained that Fantasy will be “strengthening and taking care of players’ mentalities”.

Sandbox Gaming had promoted to the LCK at the end of 2018. They have just completed their first year in the league, in which they displayed impressive results for a young team. They have made playoffs in both splits, finishing in 5th and 4th place in Spring and Summer respectively. In the end, they finished in the top 3 of Regional Qualifiers for World Championship, missing their chance to go to Worlds in their first LCK season.
