AfreecaTV announced on their official League of Legends channel the intention to run a tournament aimed at amateurs.
With no restrictions on age or rank, those who wish to enter can do so by submitting a 5-men roster through an online form. Any player that has been entered in a major league team’s roster, such as LCK or LPL, are not eligible to enter.
The finalists of the tournament will be offered a chance to try out as a trainee for Afreeca Freecs or Sandbox Gaming. The coaching staffs of both teams will be on site during the competition in order to scout out potential talents.
Earlier stages of the tournament will be played in Bo1, changing to a Bo3 format from Semifinals onwards.
