Riot Korea to host ‘LoL RuN’ to celebrate 2018 Worlds

Riot Korea will host ‘LoL RuN - 2018’, a festival to celebrate the commencement of 2018 League of Legends World Championship in Korea.

The event will be held on September 29th. The venue for the event will be Sangam World Cup Park, also previously the venue for 2014 World Championship Finals. The event will be an opportunity for fans to interact with LCK players that have qualified for World Championship as well as enjoy various League of Legend themed activities.

The highlight the event will be a 5km road run, where the fans will get to race alongside players from the three LCK teams that have qualified for World Championship. The race course will be split and themed into five different sections, the sections corresponding to the five different positions in League of Legends; top, jungle, mid, ADC and support.

After the race, the participants and the players will be invited to celebrate the commencement of League of Legends World Championships. The celebration will have music and dance performances followed by the official opening ceremony hosted by Caster Sung and Lee Hyunkyung.
