On 8th November 2018, Topsports Gaming announced that Jang “MaRin” Gyung-hwan will be leaving the LPL team.
In the Weibo post, TOP thanked MaRin for his contributions in 2018 and announced that the top laner’s contract will not be renewed, implying that he is now looking for other teams and options.

MaRin has played for SK Telecom T1 from 2013 to 2015. In 2015, MaRin won World Championship alongside Bengi, Wolf, Faker, Easyhoon and Bang while also winning the 2015 World Championship MVP.
Since then, MaRin has played for various LPL and LCK teams including LGD Gaming and Afreeca Freecs. MaRin joined LPL’s TOP in 2018, as the team’s top laner while also serving as the team’s playing coach. During MaRin’s stay in the team, TOP managed to finish the season at 3rd place in LPL West division.
